Acknowledgements

Developing a website like this is not a one person job. It requires a lot of effort from a team of people who must commit substantial time to gather the information and organize it in a meaningful way.

In this case three people especially need to be singled out for the work they have done to make this website a reality. They are:

Frank Klepeis - who designed this website and dealt with all the technical aspects relating to its development;

Anton Traupmann - who served as the website’s historian by providing extensive information on many of the people included in the Remembrance List; and

Dennis Paukowits - who spent countless hours visiting cemeteries to identify deceased Burgenländers and their grave locations for the Remembrance List.

Additionally, there were a number of people who provided information about deceased Burgenländers, which served to enhance the quality of the Remembrance List.
